Since March 2016 Teardrops has networked and continue to work in partnership with multi agencies for example St Helens Council, Merseyside Police, 5 Borough Partnership, Drug and Misuse teams, we have support from local Councillors and our local MP Conor Mcginn.
We are also supported by a global business, Procter & Gamble (P&G), plus Marks & Spencers (M&S), Tescos, Greggs the Bakers, in St Helens.
We have held an awareness day in St Helens to highlight the growing number of people that are homeless and how we can work together in partnership to help reduce and address that issue. The day was successful with statutory & voluntary organisations in attendance that work to support the homeless in St Helens, for example Citizens Advice Bureau, St Helens Council, Addaction, Local Councillors etc.
To date we have supported over 90 plus rough sleepers identified by either outreach that go out twice a week, Police, St Helens Council, & local drug and alcohol teams.
Additionally we provide support to in excess of 200 other homeless people.
We have provided 40 rucksacks, gifts at Christmas, toiletries, clothing, food hampers, and vouchers for meals at local cafes.
These are distributed two evenings a week by our outreach team, where a need is identified, also we operate a night cafe every Sunday
