Teardrops is an independent, not for profit, charity set up in a deprived area in St Helens Merseyside to support the homeless in St Helens, Halton and other surrounding urban areas in the North West of England. We aim to support the homeless and provide opportunities for individuals to reach their full potential, taking into account that first we need to meet their basic needs.
There is currently no overall provision for homeless people in St Helens, Teardrops – working with other providers – plan to provide an end to end solution that will provide a homeless person with the chance to move from being homeless to one where they will have the opportunity to more fully integrate into day to day society. This opportunity will be developed via guided learning and skills training with the objective of moving them into regular housing and having the capability to support themselves with an additional twelve months support from the Team once they have been housed.
